Apple had released iTunes 10.1 today, bringing support for iOS 4.2 and AirPlay compatibility.

“What’s new in iTunes 10.1

- Use AirPlay to instantly and wirelessly stream videos from iTunes to the all-new Apple TV.

- Sync with your iPhone, ipad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.2.

- Provides a number of important stability and performance improvements.”

iTunes 10.1 is made available through Software Update on your Mac running Mac OS X Leopard or higher and on 32 and 64bit Windows machines via Software Update.

There still has yet to be a sign of iOS 4.2 to hit the servers. Many have stated that Apple would not release the software today because of a Wi-Fi connectivity issue with the iPad. Cupertino has also been speculated to be tweaking the software for other minor enhancements. iOS users may not see the software until at least next week the earliest and November 24 the latest.
