This is the age of personalization and organizational tools are no exception. For example, iPhoto allows Mac users to create professional looking, glossy calendars with all their important dates and personal photos included. Follow these steps to make your own custom calendar on your Mac.

Things You’ll Need:

  • An Apple computer running Mac OS X
  • iPhoto software
  • High speed Internet connection
  • Credit or debit card

    Choosing a Calendar

  1. Launch iPhoto. In the iPhoto Window, select the photos that you would like to use in the calendar.

    Click on the “Calendar” icon from the toolbar at the bottom of the iPhoto Window. A window will drop down with various types of calendars to choose from.Calendar pricing information

    To see the different types of calendars and their prices, click the “Options + Prices” button. A page will load in your web browser taking you to the iPhoto Print Products page. Scroll down and you’ll see a link to calendar details and pricing, or you can watch a video of all the calendar design possibilities.

  5. Click on the style of calendar that you want in the frame above the “Options + Prices” button.
  6. Understand that a new window will open where you can select the months you want included in the calendar. You can also select your country of residence so you can have all the proper holidays marked in each month. If you use “iCal,” you can import all your important birthdays and anniversaries to have them printed on the calendar. When you’re done, click “OK.” A new iPhoto Window will appear with your selected photos on the left and the calendar template in the main window.
  7. Click and drag photos from the frame on the left to their places on the template.
  8. Click the “Layout” drop-down menu from the toolbar to change the photo arrangement in any given month.
  9. Change the captions on pages with text simply by highlighting the existing text and writing over it.
  10. Click the “Autoflow” button in the toolbar to have iPhoto drop the selected photos in automatically.
  11. Click the “Buy Calendar” button on the lower right corner of the iPhoto Window to purchase and publish your new calendar. Shipping takes seven to 10 business days.
