A few weeks ago, a teaser page went up for an application called Misu. The tagline reads “Mi iPod es Su iPod,? which literally translates into English as “My iPod is your iPod.? This new app is being developed by Ollie Wagner of Specere and Geoff Pado of Elgebar Studios.
If you have seen the teaser page and have been wondering what this app is all about, today is your lucky day. I have had a chance to play around with the beta, and the developers have sent us a short video demoing the premise behind Misu.

As you can see from the video, Misu is an application for transferring music from one iPod to another. If you have ever tried to do this yourself, you know how much of a pain it can be. Misu changes this by making it as simple as connecting your iPods, and clicking “Transfer Music.”
Misu is currently in private beta, and will hopefully be available to the general public soon.

Does Misu only transfer music from iPod to iPod or also from iPod to Mac? I used Senuti when I got my new Mac, but it didn’t transfer all my songs and videos
And does it only transfer music, or also video, notes, contacts, audiobooks, etc.?

Michael: We certainly don’t condone piracy, but some people will of course use it for that. In a lot of cases, this won’t work very well, since Misu doesn’t crack FairPlay.
Priscilla: Misu will import any transferred music (but only transferred music) to your Mac so you can create playlists and the like. However, it won’t go straight from iPod to Mac (at least, not yet). Also, it currently only transfers music, but that’s also something that can change later in Misu’s development, if enough people want it.

Ok, I’m in interested in this application, but I must admit that was the lamest video I have ever seen. Even political rants on Youtube are better than that.

@Hark! This isn’t a full review. The video was sent by the developer as a short preview. Look for a full review when Misu is out of public beta.

I’m agree with Michael
I’m not sure how many iPod contains only free podcasts or free mp3 released by some indie performers
There will always be (a lot of) copyrighted materials got duplicated ‘unintentionaly’

HengSu Kim: We do, and Misu is different. Misu is an application to discover new music by combining the tunes from friends’ iPods. TuneRanger is an application to sync between your own iTunes libraries.
